First Term

  3. To verify the law of Chemical Combination. 
  4. To identify the basic radicals and acidic radicals in the given solution.
  5. To determine the pH of the given samples using pH paper or Universal indicator.
  6. To study the reactivity of acids and bases in terms of the neutralization principle.
  7. Identify the acid, base, and salt from the given solutions using indicators.

Second Term

  1. To Study the formula of number of images from the number of images formed by changing the angle between two mirrors.
  2. To determine the focal length of a concave mirror by obtaining the images of an object at different distances.
  3. To verify the law of reflection of sound.
  4. To determine that the activated charcoal is a decolorizing agent.
  5. To prepare carbon dioxide in the laboratory and to study its physical and chemical properties.
  6. To study the properties of baking soda and washing soda.
  7. To find out the pH value of substances in everyday life with the help of universal indicators.

Science And Technology Part II

Unlike earlier subjects, Biology comprises a lot of experiments so Part II only concentrates Biology practicals. Similar to Part I, Part II offers you a total of fourteen experiments. 

First Term

  1. Classify the various plants (Spirogyra, Agaricus, Funaria, Fern (Nephrolepis), Cycas, Catharanthus) present in surrounding and sketching labeled diagrams.
  2. Observation of various parts of the plants – hibiscus, and tuberose and explaining the difference according to classification criteria.
  3. Sketching/ drawing/ constructing the food chains depending upon various components (producers, consumers) present in surroundings.
  4. Making a list (study) of various organisms present in and around the water body near your school and explaining the food chain and food web according to their mode of nutrition.
  5. Making yogurt from milk in the laboratory and studying the bacteria in it under the compound microscope.
  6. Study of bacteria present in root nodules of leguminous plants.
  7. Recording air temperature, air pressure, and humidity with the help of various instruments for a period of a week and writing a report about it.

Second Term

  1. Configure the garbage from the surroundings and make compost by using degradable garbage.
  2. To study stomata by making a temporary slide of leaf peel.
  3. To verify that the plants grow in the direction of sunlight.
  4. To study the characteristics of ripe hybrid and local varieties of banana available in the market.
  5. To identify striated muscle fiber and nerve cells in animal tissues from the prepared slides and draw their well-labeled diagrams. 
  6. Identify the parenchyma and sclerenchyma tissues in plants from the permanent slides and draw neat and labeled diagrams. 
  7. To study the section of stem found in surroundings.
